Daily Bit lets you read a text file and automatically save a bit of it to another file. You can set the amount of 'Target Characters'. If you set this for 2200 characters as I do for our daily installment of Coffee Joe, Daily Bit will read, in whole lines until, you just gone over the target amount of characters. This makes for a clean break in the text before you resume the document.
You can use /nobookmark on the command line to not use a bookmark.
You can have a before text line. If you enter any before text, the text will be before the rest of the text in the output file.
You can have a after text line. If you have an after text line, the text will be at the end of the output file.
Daily Bit allows the user to read text files and automatically starts at the place you left at. This bookmark works without any setup. You can reset the bookmark to go back to the beginning of a file.
We are including a copy of the U.S. Constitution c:\occc\usconstitution.txt will be created on your hard drive.
We use this for our Daily Installment of Coffee Joe.
Daily Bit will let you search for any text. The number of times it found it, the actual lines found in, and the line numbers found in. For example: robot is found 87 times in Coffee Joe.
You can check Overlap to repeat the last line.
You can check Auto End to automatically exit in 30 seconds.
